Simplicity

Falling in love with the Lord one step at a time. We were meant for more than what this world offers.

To serve or be served?

Reflection: Are you trying your hardest to do what is best for the world, or are you trying your hardest to make the world the best for what you want? It becomes a humble vs selfish question. As a Christian, are you following the greatest commandment which Jesus declared (Mark 12: 28-34)? To love your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, with all your strength? It is so easy to be obnoxious about so many worldly things! We can dress obnoxiously for our favorite football team, or even debate obnoxiously about whether we stand as a democrat or republican. It’s not bad to be gung-ho about these things, but are you remembering to be obnoxious for the One who created you and to place Him first? This goes back to the first and greatest commandment. Are you loving Him with all your heart, mind, soul, understanding, body?? Is every part of your life breathing the divine fire of love through your actions, obnoxiousness, and thoughts? Or is most of your life centered around making sure your wants and needs are met first before anything else? Let yourself be totally His!! Then He will be able to mold your heart in His mighty hands into what you’ve been seeking all along. Totus tuus!
